Programs & Products

The Teel Institute has a wide variety of products that help children and youth and develop the positive behavioral skills and attitudes that will help them to live productive, secure, emotionally healthy lives. Institute products and programs are designed to help children of all ages manage their own behavior, take responsibility, respect their own rights and the rights of others, correct their mistakes and handle failure, give their best effort, achieve to their highest potential in and out of school, be successful in their chosen endeavors.

Institute programs also address the current social problems that threaten our classrooms and our communities such as bullying, loss of self-control, violence, lack of respect for oneself and others, and poor work or school performance.

The Institute develops, evaluates, produces, and distributes programs and materials, including:

• Teacher training materials;
• Customized materials and approaches for non-classroom use;
• Assessment materials;
• Parent education workshops and materials;
• Customized in-services and workshops for educators, parents, and youth-serving professionals.

The Institute also provides consultation to educators and others on current issues of discipline, management, and the development of character and self-esteem. Finally, it does both basic and applied research on issues such as moral reasoning, self-valuing, and the development of psychological health in children.
