ServicesThe Teel Institute provides services for a wide variety of parent education groups and individual parents. The Institute provides services and programs for parents in the following areas.

Individual Parent Consultations
We are happy to work with parents on an individual basis to explain our program and our approaches to the development of self-esteem. While we do not do individual counseling with children or families, we do provide information on how to apply the ideas of the Institute’s programs to an individual child or family. The ESSENTIAL Curriculum at Your Child’s School
Many parents bring the school-based program to their child’s classroom through the Parent-Teacher organization of their school. For questions about bringing Institute programs or materials to your child’s school, please contact Dr. Don Wilson.

Parent Education Sessions
The Teel Institute makes many presentations and gives many workshops to parent groups, either associated with a school or. Parent sessions are usually one hour to two hours and can be scheduled as a single session or a series of sessions. Sessions can be custom-designed to meet the needs of any given group of adults.

The Teel Institute has developed several parent education programs. Formats for parent education can include the following:

  • Simple presentations to both formal and informal parent and custodial groups, including those associated with schools, churches, parent organizations, and individual parents
  • Parent workshops custom designed to fit the needs of parents in a variety of settings and with a variety of needs and considerations
  • Parent Academies, a series of evening workshops for parents sponsored often by the school's Parent-Teacher Organization
  • Individual, informal consultation with parents
