Privacy Policy

As a visitor to the Teel Institute Web site or as a client or customer of the Teel Institute, you have the right to understand our information privacy practices prior to providing us with any personal information. By providing you with this Privacy Statement, the Teel Institute is pledging our continued commitment to protecting any information that you might provide to us.

To protect your privacy, we have adopted the following practices, and assure you that we have taken every reasonable measure to see that they are followed,

The Teel Institute may ask you to provide personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified, including name, address, email address, telephone number, or fax number) in order to provide you with products and services. If at any time you provide such personally identifiable information, the Teel Institute will not share it with any other party unless required to do so by law. Under no circumstance will we sell or share your information with other companies or third parties.

If you share a testimonial or a quote with us and we wish to use it in connection with any personally identifiable information, we will ask for your written permission; the Teel Institute does not publish any identifiable information when using testimonial data for marketing or informational purposes unless we have your written and express permission to do so. Most testimonial data is reported with first name and grade level for children (e.g., “Larry, First Grade”), and first name and grade taught for teachers (e.g., “Barbara, Third Grade Teacher,” or “Judy, Principal.”). Parents are identified in quoted materials simply as “Parent.”

If at any time you are asked to participate in a research study, a program evaluation, marketing survey, or any other type of activity designed to gather data or information, your participation will be strictly voluntary. Should you choose to participate, you will not be identified by name. All information is kept strictly confidential; no personally identifiable information is included in any informal or formal report. All data are reported as group data only. For both children and adults, the participation in a scientific research study requires an informed consent that is filled out in writing by either the individual or, in the case of children, by a parent; these are kept on file at the Teel Institute. These studies gather only survey data using survey instruments only.

If at any time you are asked to participate in the development of marketing, promotional, or educational materials that require a photograph or filming, your participation will be strictly voluntary. Should you choose to participate, you will not be identified by name unless we have your express permission to do so. The Teel Institute requires that we obtain a written and signed “Permission to be Photographed or Videotaped” for both children and adults that specifies the terms under which the resulting products or materials will be used.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and clients, and we support any industry initiatives to preserve individual privacy rights on the Internet.
